What we have tried to do is make a list of tours and tour guides that

Ask any Chinese where is the most beautiful part of China and they
will say Yangshuo. Ask any foreigner who has traveled more than
once to China where is the best place to see the most and do the most
they will say Yangshuo. Boby has helped a lot of
foreigners find their way around this fantastic place. A
great local guide that I have met was a your man named ARDEN.
Arden family is from a small village about 15 minutes from
Yangshuo. It is said to be one of the oldest villages in the
area. In fact Arden's family has lived there in the same house
for more then 600 years. It is not because they can not move but
it is such a wonderful place. Maybe if you are lucky as I was he
will include as part of one of his tours dinner at his
house.
While we were in China this year we found that Karen at China
Highlights was very helpful. She not only gave us very good
advice on Guilin but also helped us to find good tours in other areas.
In Xain the ancient capital of China we found a very
knowledgeable tour guide named Lee. Although Lee was new she
really knew all her facts. She was also very good at finding those
unusual places to see. We would ask and sure enough she would
deliver.
Beijing is the capital of modern China and a bit overwhelming to
even the seasoned traveler. Here we found a very good guide in
Nancy. Nancy was very GOOD.
Kunming is in Yunan Province. It is the city of FLOWERS.
It is also know as the city of eternal spring. Once of the sites
to see is the STONE FORESTjust outside of the city.
